Learning Support/Title I
I graduated in 2012 from Edinboro University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Special Education. After graduating I moved to Morganton, NC and taught 6th grade learning support for the 2013-2014 school year. I then decided to move back to Pennsylvania and became an AmeriCorps member and served at the North Clarion School District. I am currently the K-3 Learning Support Teacher and have been in this position for 2 years.
In my classroom, my expectations are the same as the elementary school rules: Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be Kind. One the first day of school the students and I compile a list of definitions and examples of what it means to be respectful, responsible and kind. From there the students know what is expected of them and what they need to do to be successful.
The best way to contact me is through my school email.

I grew up in a small town outside of Warren, Pennsylvania with my parents and one sister. I currently live in Clarion with my twins, Mackenzie and Zach, who are students at Clarion High School and my youngest son Spencer, who is at Clarion Elementary. I graduated from Clarion University with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 2001. After graduating, I stayed home with my twins, Mackenzie and Zachary for 3 years. I worked at North Clarion Elementary as the Rural Reads Teacher while working on my Master’s Degree. In 2007, I graduated with my Master’s Degree in Special Education and was hired at Clarion Area School District. I taught first grade at Clarion Elementary School for 8 years and second grade for 2 years. This year has been a huge change for me. I became the Title 1/Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Coordinator. The position has been challenging, but exciting. I have been able to work with students who I had in the past and students of all grade levels. I have been able to put my passion for Special Education and data into implementing a new program that benefits all students. I hope to see the program continue to grow and get better each year. If you want to get in contact with me, please email me: email@example.com.
