¡Hola! My name is Ms. Vecchitto and I teach Spanish 1, 2, 3, and 4. I am honored to be your guide into the Spanish language and it's varied and rich cultures.
This webpage is going to be your best place for information regarding assignments, the week's agenda, due dates, upcoming assessments and additional resources related to Spanish class and language learning. Hopefully all the information you need will be right here for you, but you are welcome to email me with further questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
A bit about me:
I am a non-native speaker and I learned the majority of my Spanish while living in Latin America. I have spent time in Chile, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Nicaragua and Mexico...as well as India, France and Italy. I graduated with a B.A. in Sociology with an emphasis in Spanish from the University of California, Santa Cruz and several years later I returned to school at Sonoma State University to get my teaching credential. I also had the opportunity to study at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile in Santiago, Chile for one semester.
In addition to studying Spanish, I like to do yoga, tinker with creative projects, go hiking, spend time at the beach whenever possible, and to just hang out in nature with my family. My husband and I also own a small farm (which you can find at the Clarion Farmer's Market) and we enjoy cooking and eating great food.
I'm looking forward to delving into the Spanish-speaking world with you in a safe, respectful and fun learning environment. It's going to be a great year!
