¡Bienvenidos a la clase de español!
¡Hola! My name is Liz Keller and I am the Spanish teacher here at Clarion Area. Originally from Punxsutawney, I obtained my B.S.Ed. in Spanish Education (K-12) from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, as well as my B.A. in Spanish language and a minor in Educational Psychology. While obtaining my degree, I lived abroad in both Costa Rica and Spain. I have also traveled, and continue to travel, to Guatemala on mission trips with efforts to provide humanitarian aid to the small village of Santa María de Jesús. When I’m not at school or traveling abroad, I like to watch The Office (for the 100th time through), get a workout in at the gym, and enjoy a cup of great coffee (or several if we are being honest!).
My courses this year include Exploratory Spanish for 8th graders, as well as Spanish levels 1-4. The best place to find information about what is happening in Spanish class is through Google Classroom. My class codes for the 20-21 school year are as follows:
Spanish 1: 2kj6r26
Spanish 2: bz2mn6j
Spanish 3: fcuelwr
Spanish 4: fx6qx6m
I use Google Classroom to post reminders, Quizlet sets for our vocabulary, reviews for quizzes and tests, study guides, and copies of notes from class. You will also find information at the top of the page for the course syllabus and logins for all digital platforms used in Spanish class. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I know schedules are busy, and sometimes it is hard for us to get to a phone, so e-mail is always the best (and easiest!) way to reach me. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org and I will do my best to respond to you as quickly as within the school day.
I am very excited to have your student(s) in class this year, and I look forward to speaking Spanish with them! ¡Chao!
