Schedule/Routine – 5-Day Rotation *Gym Shoes, Lunch @ 11:15, Breakfast before coming to room
Reading- books, spelling, word building, Science, Social Studies, grammar, writing, Weekly (Wed.) assessments (www.spellingcity.com/01Bobcat)
Go Math (School-Home Letter, chapter tests & checkpoints, journals) * We do not follow chapters in order 1,2,3.. :)
Parent signature: Reading test, Math Chapter tests and checkpoints, and Weekly Spelling tests
MTSS Groups are differentiated and all students are grouped
1st Q Report Card will be given at/near Conference (Date TBD), Please sign envelope and return Q2 and Q3; each classroom has homework policy, look for info to come home.

Behavior – First Grade Rules: Be Safe, Be Kind, Be Responsible & Be Respectful
Book Orders – Please make 1 check payable to Scholastic Book Clubs OR Pay Online.
Lunch Money – Please send money in an envelope with your child’s name, room number, and teacher. Payments can also be made online. (www.myschoolbucks.com)
Recess – Students must have boots, gloves, snow pants, a winter coat, and a hat to go sledding. If you are unable to provide these, please contact Mrs. Knepp. kknepp@clarion-schools.com Students must be dressed appropriately.
Transportation – Please send a transportation form with any changes in transportation with your child in the morning.
EMERGENCIES should be communicated directly through the office, please – NO EMAILS.
Absences – If your child is out of school due to illness, we will work hard to catch him/her up when they return. There is no need to come into school for work unless it is an extended absence.
PTO – PTO is very generous in sponsoring our field trips, planning the Holiday Shoppe, and many other activities for the students. Don’t forget: Box Tops are electronic now. We encourage parents to get involved with the PTO because it benefits all of our students.
Birthdays -- School Policy- No food will be eaten at school. (Must be store bought/individually wrapped and will be sent home to consume.) due to allergies, Invitations: Send for entire class or ALL BOYS or ALL GIRLS
